This project provided modifications to the existing airport infrastructure, renovated/expanded hold room areas at the gates, and installed new MEPFP systems, stairwells, security systems, card/biometric readers, and doorways for temporary passenger boarding bridges necessary for the expansion of the east end of the O’Hare Terminal 5 – International Terminal. The surrounding gates were kept active in coordination with airport staff during the installation of the temporary passenger boarding bridges and during the MEP relocation/demolition needed for the headhouse and east extension.
