FBI Office Renovation at Carolina Forest Medical Plaza

Oct 2, 2019

This was a highly technical interior build-out of commercial space in an existing medical office building to house Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) offices. The building was occupied—we performed all work without disruption of daily activities. The buildout included the main reception area, high-end video conference room and server rooms, SCIF, interview rooms, tech construction rooms, break room, typical office and open office space.

Work included access controls, fire detection and alarm, technology wiring infrastructure, intercommunications, new doors, frames and hardware, electrical including new isolated ground service to and in the space, HVAC, and dielectric breaks on all piping.

Overall project scope included complete security systems, including biometric readers, card readers, CCTV cameras, exterior cameras and HVAC shutdown controls. Security features included blast-resistant exterior and interior walls, windows and doors, bulletproof exterior KaneTM window screens, interior bulletproof walls and doors, a multitude of anti-terrorism measures, as well as acoustic isolation soundproofing and non-data transmitting rooms with RF shielding on walls, floors, acoustical ceiling tiles and doors/frames.
