Accel updated the existing MEP infrastructure of the 8th floor Research Laboratory in order to support the new Biosafety Level 3 laboratory (BSL-3/ABSL-3). The work is part of an overall plan to improve the Biosafety Laboratory research facilities available within the College of Medicine.
Work included new walls, doors, hardware, architectural finishes, casework, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, roofing, and fire protection infrastructure. The roofing scope of work included installing new structural steel framing, demolishing and patching the existing roofing for the new rooftop exhaust fan.
