We built this new depot building for the Cary station on Metra’s second busiest train line. The new masonry building features a ticket agent office, heated flooring, and covered waiting area to keep commuters warm during the frigid Midwestern winters. The project also included a separate pre-engineered 8 ft. x 3.5 ft. x 41 ft. heated waiting shelter, electronic parking fee collection boxes, and landscaping. We installed a new platform, directional signals, new decorative powder coated metal fence, highway guardrail, and utility lines in steel casing pipes that were run under the train tracks.
