This project consisted of the replacement of the Dirksen Courthouse S3 and S7 blower motor fans, removal of the adjacent fan (S5/S9) discharge ducts, and the removal of the motor housings. Work also included the removal of the motors and a rebuild of the adjacent discharge duct and motor housings. We removed and replaced the VFDs and performed minor electrical disconnections and reconnections. Additionally, a metal staircase needed to be relocated in order to provide the necessary access to perform the work. All work was performed during weekend holiday shut downs.
