Repair Elevators at UIC School of Public Health

The renovation and upgrade to three (3) passenger elevators in the UIC School of Public Health’s 11-story building. The elevator modernization scope of work includes providing new controllers, hoist machines, power units, and operating panel car stations. Each cab interior has been renovated with new flooring, stainless steel wall finishes, handrails, and ceiling system. The cab interiors also included video monitor displays installed to broadcast the client’s news and announcements. The project included providing a new fire alarm system throughout the entire building. New Areas of Refuge were created in the existing elevator lobbies. There was miscellaneous Plumbing and HVAC work in the elevator shaft and machine rooms. Additional scope of work included drywall repairs and painting of the elevator lobbies.
