Terminal #5 Landside & Parking Improvements – Trade Package 23 – General Trades

The new parking garage at Terminal 5 of O’Hare International Airport is a six level, cast-in-place, post tension parking structure supported by two helical ramps at the ends of the garage for movement between levels. The parking garage will accommodate 1,700 vehicles with an additional 700 vehicles in surface parking. The project will also include two vehicular bridges and curbside expansion access. Accel Construction was contracted to provide the general trades package for the parking garage. This scope of work includes new glazed masonry & shaft walls for the elevator, electrical, and fire suppression rooms throughout the building. In addition, Accel was contracted to complete the new metal paneling and ceilings, doors, frames & hardware, signage and all associated painting.
