Creation of a 140,000 SF surface lot for the use of storing and maintaining the snow removal equipment for the airfield at O’Hare International Airport. Work included the excavation of 1,450 CY of soil hauled to an existing stockpile as well as the import of 4,949 CY of asphalt millings to create an 18” thick surface lot. The work also included the creation of an asphalt drive to connect the surface lot to an active taxiway. The driveway work was completed within the taxiway object free area boundary with direct coordination with airport personnel. Additional work included modifications to existing storm drainage structures and the creation of new storm sewers below the drive.
