On this project Accel demolished the existing roofing system and installed a new 60,000-sf SBS modified bituminous roofing system. Work included new parapet work, sheet metal, flashings, roof hatch, and fall protection railings. The existing roof drains were also replaced, and a new lightning suppression system was installed. The MEP scope of work involved plumbing, heating, ventilation, and electrical work to raise and relocate existing rooftop equipment. Despite nationwide supply chain shortages – which affected the delivery of necessary roofing insulation materials – Accel was able to successfully navigate the challenge and complete this project on time.
